Penn State announces Global Programs Travel Grants 2017 competition results

Global Programs' fall 2017 travel grants have been awarded in three grant categories: Faculty Travel Grants, Transformational Travel Grants, and Graduate Student Travel Grants. Based on the review committees’ evaluations and recommendations, 30 applicants were selected for funding support. The awardees will travel to 19 countries on four continents.

Researchers aim to develop best practices for organic beekeeping industry

A nearly $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture will support Penn State researchers in determining best management practices for organic beekeeping by comparing organic and chemical-free to conventional management systems. The funding comes from the Organic Agriculture Research and Extension Initiative of USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture.

Award-winning THON Bingo slated for Dec. 10

The third annual Gift Card and Gift Basket Bingo, sponsored by the Penn State Schuylkill Alumni Society and Schuylkill Benefitting THON, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Walk In Art Center in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania.
