Campus Police Services

Penn State Schuylkill employs full-time sworn police officers in the department of Police Services.

These officers are on duty for the safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors at Penn State. The officers enforce all federal, state and local laws along with University policies. They also assist local law enforcement agencies upon request.

Contact information is located on the right of the page. For additional emergency contact information, please follow the emergency contacts link.

Below is a list of services that Polices Services offers to the campus community.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

There are three Automated External Defibrillator (AEDs) units on campus. Their locations are:

  • Health & Wellness Atrium
  • Outside of the gymnasium
  • On board the police patrol vehicle

These units are for use by trained personnel on a person who is in cardiac arrest.

Escorts

Lost and Found

The campus police maintain a lost and found respository in the campus police office located in Room #6 of the Administration Building. Found items should be brought directly to the campus police office. Individuals who have lost property on campus should contact campus police to make a report.

Vehicle Accidents

All accidents that occur on campus property should be reported to campus police immediately.

If possible, do not move vehicles until police officer arrives.

Vehicle Assistance

Campus police offer free on-campus assistance to students, employees and visitors for the following:
Vehicle lock-out: Keys locked inside vehicle parked on campus.
Battery jumpstart: Vehicle will not start due to low battery condition.
Please note that the officer will provide an indemnification form that must be completed and signed prior to the officer rendering assistance.

Safety Tips:

Do not walk alone!

  • If you must walk alone, travel well-lit and heavily traveled routes.
  • Let someone you trust know where you are going, your travel route, and what time you should arrive at your destination.
  • Pay attention to your surroundings, walk confidently and know your route.
  • While walking at night wear bright or reflective clothing.
  • If possible carry a cell phone and a flashlight.
  • When walking from a building to your vehicle, have your keys ready and in hand.
  • Trust your instincts.
