Have you ever been interested in learning more about your family history?
Did you know that the Penn State Libraries provide access to a number
of databases that lets you explore census records, immigration records,
death certificates, old newspaper stories, and more?
In this departure from her usual research on rhetoric and theatre, Dr. Valerie Schrader shares some of her own family history stories and how the Penn State Libraries’ databases and other free resources helped to shed light on some family questions and mysteries. Attendees who wish to explore their own family history are encouraged to take notes during the presentation of the many databases and websites that may be of use.
