E-portfolios and shared academic programs impact student success

One of the first graduates of Penn State’s shared Corporate Communication program, Shawnna Meyers, participated in her commencement this past weekend, and she attributes much of her success to her professional e-portfolio. Recently, we asked Meyers to share her story with us and explored how the use of e-portfolios and being part of a shared academic program has helped her succeed, both in college and in acquiring her first career-related job.

Penn State Day at Knoebels set for May 21

On Saturday, May 21, the Penn State Schuylkill Alumni Society will co-sponsor the seventh annual Penn State Day at Knoebels Amusement Park in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. The event is open to all Penn State alumni, family, and friends.

Local professionals discuss and share their experiences with students

The Student Professionalization committee will be hosting a career panel March 21, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in room 101 of the Classroom Building at Penn State Schuylkill. Eight local business and community leaders will discuss their career paths and professional experiences and then take questions from the student audience.
