Baccalaureate Degrees at Penn State Schuylkill
ACCELERATED BACHELOR'S/J.D. PROGRAM
The Accelerated Bachelor’s/J.D. program gives outstanding Penn State undergraduates the opportunity to complete their bachelor’s degree and J.D. in a compressed time frame, fast-tracking their chosen legal careers.
BIOLOGY
The Biology degree program provides the flexibility to enable students to tailor their program for graduate study in many fields of biology or careers requiring broad backgrounds and diverse skills in the biological sciences.
BUSINESS - ACCOUNTING OPTION
This degree provides students with the skills and knowledge to pursue careers in business with an emphasis on the areas of financial and managerial accounting, systems and controls, auditing, and taxation. At graduation, students are prepared to sit for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam.
BUSINESS - HEALTH SERVICES OPTION
This program prepares students for management and administrative careers in the growing healthcare industry. Courses offered as part of the health services option’s curriculum include Financial Decisions in Healthcare Organizations, Health Systems Management, Principles of Managed Care, and Population Health.
BUSINESS - INDIVIDUALIZED OPTION
Students in this business option develop a program of study based on their specific career needs, with approval from a faculty advisor. Such individualized programs of study prepare students for a variety of business careers including opening and running a small business.
BUSINESS - MARKETING/MANAGEMENT OPTION
This program emphasizes management and marketing skills and knowledge necessary for the business professional to succeed in the fast-paced business world of today.
CORPORATE COMMUNICATION
The Corporate Communication degree is designed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in the areas of public information and media relations in profit and non-profit organizations.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE
The Criminal Justice program at Penn State Schuylkill educates students on necessary communication and analytical skills critical to success in administration of justice and related careers.
CYBERSECURITY ANALYTICS AND OPERATIONS
Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations is an interdisciplinary program that prepares students for careers as cybersecurity professionals. It educates students on the essential concepts of cyber defense and the analytical fundamentals of cybersecurity, with a focus on the analytical and risk management underpinnings and associated cyber-defense techniques and strategies for ensuring the safety of online information across the complex network infrastructures within today's business, government and military organizations.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
The Information Technology degree prepares students with the knowledge needed to use IT to solve problems while practicing their skills in applied, real-world experiences.
