This interactive, three-hour workshop is designed to help individuals strengthen their ability to work and connect effectively across cultures. Moving beyond basic awareness, the session focuses on practical, research-informed strategies that can be applied in real-world professional settings.
Participants will explore how culture influences communication, decision-making, and workplace dynamics. Through guided discussion, reflection, and applied activities, attendees will gain tools to navigate diverse environments with greater confidence and effectiveness.
Pre-Workshop Assessment Included
As part of the program, participants will complete the CQ Pro Assessment prior to the live session. The cost of the assessment is included in the registration fee.
This assessment evaluates an individual’s ability to work effectively across cultures by examining four key areas: motivation, knowledge, strategy, and behavior. It also provides insight into behavioral preferences across ten value dimensions that shape how individuals approach work and relationships. Participants receive a personalized report with insights into strengths, potential blind spots, and how their results compare to a global benchmark.

Dr. Gina Whalen is an Associate Teaching Professor of Business at Penn State Schuylkill and the Program Director for the BS in Business Inter Campus program at Penn State World Campus. She brings more than 25 years of experience in education, professional development, and working with industry partners, helping connect classroom learning to real-world business needs. Her background includes leadership, management, communication, global diversity, and team building. Dr. Whalen’s work reflects a strong commitment to helping students and professionals build the cultural intelligence needed to work effectively across different backgrounds, perspectives, and workplaces.
