Catherine Fiorillo, associate teaching professor of theatre and speech at Penn State Schuylkill, has written, produced, and starred in a short film in collaboration with director David “DJ” Higgins, assistant teaching professor of film/video and music. “Sanitize This!” has earned 15 awards thus far and premiered locally on Thursday, May 20.

The Penn State University Athletic Conference recently announced its 2021 All-Conference First Team and named Penn State Schuylkill junior Jacob Leininger Player of the Year, East Division. Other members of the Penn State Schuylkill baseball and softball teams earned PSUAC All-Conference honors.

Challenged, inspired and impassioned by motherhood, this new Penn State alumna will take a gap year to prepare for the MCAT and spend time with her young son before applying to medical school, where she intends to specialize in pediatrics.
This summer, Penn State Schuylkill will offer seven Career Exploration Academies, weeklong seminars that allow high school students to explore college majors and careers as they consider life after graduation. Topics include communication, criminology and psychology, cybersecurity and coding, health careers, and entrepreneurship.
