Barnes & Noble bookstore grants Schuylkill $10,000 for students' books, supplies

Barnes & Noble awarded $10,000 in grant funding to help cover the costs of textbooks and supplies for Penn State Schuylkill’s students. The grant funds were awarded beginning in spring of 2021; all funds have now been allocated with first- and second-year students in the Pathway to Success: Summer Start (PaSSS) program receiving funding for course materials.

University Health Services urges precautions against monkeypox

Penn State University Health Services (UHS) is encouraging students to protect themselves against monkeypox in light of cases in Pennsylvania and nationally. Monkeypox is a viral infection primarily spread through prolonged close contact. It is not a sexually transmitted infection (STI), and anybody can be at risk, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

Co-Op Stories: Renee Paetzell inspired by geriatric health care internship

Second-year business student Renee Paetzell is a dedicated student who maintains a delicate balance between work and family life. As this Penn Stater completes her degree to better support her family, she also is gaining important workplace experiences through Penn State Schuylkill Co-Op, where she interned in geriatric health care this summer.
