Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) has named 15 recipients of the 2025 Faculty Engagement Awards with this year’s theme of “Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Teaching including Microsoft Copilot 365.” Recipients will collaborate with TLT to experiment with AI-driven tools to support course planning, content design and instructional delivery.

Penn State Schuylkill announced the opening of its 2025–26 Art Space exhibition season with “In Regard,” a powerful and introspective collection by renowned Central Pennsylvania artist and art educator Chet Davis. The exhibition will be on display from Aug. 25 through Oct. 14 in Art Space’s new location — Classroom Building, Room 100 — and is free and open to the public.

Penn State Schuylkill students pursuing careers in behavioral sciences now have a scholarship opportunity thanks to the generosity of Josette and Albert “Bert” Evans. Endowed with a $100,000 gift, the Josette and Bert Evans Behavioral Sciences Scholarship provides financial support to students majoring in psychology or human development and family studies who are participating in the applied behavior analysis certification course and internship.
Penn State Schuylkill has announced the promotion of Koren Dixon to assistant teaching professor of nursing, recognizing her dedication to student learning, her nearly two decades of experience in women’s health, and her scholarly work on public health issues such as human trafficking.
Ronald Kelly, a longtime faculty member at Penn State Schuylkill, has been promoted to associate teaching professor of criminal justice, effective July 1, 2025, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to teaching, research and service.
