What is the LionLaunch Program?
Established in May 2016, LionLaunch is a community-based entrepreneurship program that encompasses three main components.
The first component, the LionLaunch Boot Camp, is a six-week adult education program where educators and local business leaders mentor participants and provide aspiring entrepreneurs training in marketing, business law, finance, and more.
The second component, the Business Plan Competition, offers participants the opportunity to pitch their business startup or expansion plan to a panel of local business owners for a chance to win up to $5,000 in startup funds.
The final component is the LionLaunch Innovation Hub, which is a facility located in downtown Schuylkill Haven, featuring videoconferencing capabilities, 3D printing, collaborative space, and more to startups lacking a devoted office space.

Giving to LionLaunch
An anonymous donor has provided a generous gift of $250,000 in support of our LionLaunch programs and services. This gift was matched by The University to establish the Penn State Schuylkill LionLaunch Endowment.
All gifts to the endowment will allow Penn State Schuylkill to expand our programs, better support our startups, and continue our mission to serve the entrepreneurial community as part of the Invent Penn State initiative.
Invent Penn State
LionLaunch is made possible by Invent Penn State, a Commonwealth-wide initiative to spur economic development, job creation and student career success. Invent Penn State blends entrepreneurship-focused academic programs, business startup training and incubation, funding for commercialization, and university-community collaborations to facilitate the challenging process of turning research discoveries into valuable products and services that can benefit Pennsylvanians and humankind.
