Penn State Schuylkill students receive their academic awards from Interim Chancellor Cory Scherer at a ceremony held on campus April 21.
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. — Penn State Schuylkill celebrated student achievement during its annual Academic Program Awards Ceremony on April 21. The event recognized 48 students for outstanding academic performance across a range of degree programs and academic disciplines.
Interim Chancellor Cory Scherer spoke at the ceremony, congratulating the honorees and commending them for their hard work, commitment and academic excellence.
“This ceremony is a celebration of our students’ commitment to excellence,” Scherer said. “Their achievements reflect not only their academic talents, but also the dedication and resilience it takes to succeed. We are incredibly proud of what they’ve accomplished and excited to see what they’ll do next.”
The Academic Program Awards are presented each spring to students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement within their fields of study. Faculty members select recipients based on academic performance, leadership, and contributions to their respective programs.
This annual recognition is part of Penn State Schuylkill’s ongoing efforts to support student success and highlight the accomplishments of its diverse and high-achieving student body.
