Biography
Lisa Robinson has been a part of Penn State Schuylkill since 2016. She began her career at Penn State as an adjunct instructor. In 2018, she transitioned into full-time faculty teaching for both World Campus and Schuylkill.
Robinson completed her undergraduate B.A. in Marketing from Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania. She also earned her Master's in Business Administration from Alvernia University receiving high honors. She was the vice president of the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society.
Before becoming a faculty member at Penn State Schuylkill, Robinson worked in the nonprofit world as the Executive Director of the Walk In Art Center. In her role at the art center, Robinson was responsible for tripling the profits, education and events that were available for the artists and community.
Volunteering and community engagement are always at the forefront of Robinson's personal mission. She sits on the board of directors for the Walk In Art Center, Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce and Our Haven Foundation. She also gives her time to work with the Revitalization Project in Schuylkill Haven.
Robinson works closely with the business students at Schuylkill as the Business Society's Adviser. Together, they are building a more robust club to:
- benefit the students
- give them the ability to be members of local organizations
- participate in fundraising
- build an understanding of nonprofits and the good they can produce to not only benefit themselves but the campus as a whole.
Robinson was born and raised in Schuylkill County. She is married to Guy Robinson and has two children, Guy Jr. and Madeline.
