Biography
Jonathan Kukta is a member of Penn State Schuylkill's campus cabinet, serving as director of business services. The Director of Business Services is responsible for overseeing campus operations, campus master planning, telecommunications, risk management, fleet operations, real estate, procurement and contracts, housing, and environmental stewardship. The position also serves as the campus liaison to Penn State University Police and Public Safety, the Penn State Bookstore, University Housing and Food Services, and Central Finance and Business.
Kukta has been with Penn State since 2002, having previously served as the director of housing and food services at Penn State Berks, Hazleton, Lehigh Valley, Schuylkill, Scranton, and Wilkes-Barre campuses. Additionally, Kukta has served as an adjunct instructor with Penn State Schuylkill and Berks since 2007, teaching courses including business administration, marketing, management, and facilities and hospitality management.
Kukta has also been active with the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS) since 2004. He has been on the East Board of Directors since 2017. The East Region of NACAS consists of 13 U.S. states, Ontario, the Atlantic Provinces, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The NACAS supports the mission of the National Association by offering extended, accessible and regionally relevant value to its members through a suite of programs designed to foster professional development, facilitate a cherished network of colleagues, and cultivate collaboration. In 2020, Kukta was awarded the association’s Rising Star Award for the East Region.
