Jason Reuscher

Jason A. Reuscher is the research and instruction librarian at the Ciletti Memorial Library at Penn State Schuylkill. Additionally, he provides reference support in the University Libraries, coordinates library instruction at the campus, and helps develop the campus library collection.

His most recent research project involves Kurrentschrift transcriptions of an 18th-century culinary manuscript held at the University of Pittsburgh's Special Collections Library and several anonymous culinary manuscripts from his hometown of St. Marys (frueher auch Sankt Marien Stadt) in Elk County, Pennsylvania. He contributes reviews to the Central European University Press Review of Books, and to the Sifter, which is a food history research database useful to finding and comparing historical and contemporary writing on food and food-related topics.

Jason, his wife Catherine, daughter Ingrid, and cats Olive and Chickpea live south of the Blue Mountains in western Lehigh County. When he is not renovating his home, he enjoys gardening and spending time with friends and family.
