Friday, August 18
9:00 a.m. to Noon Welcome! The time has finally come. Before you unpack your vehicle, please join us for registration. This is where you will receive your apartment keys, but you can also address any last-minute issues concerning your stay here on campus. Location: Nittany V Commons
Noon to 2:00 p.m.
In this weekend kick-off event, take a break from moving in and grab a bite to eat. Before final goodbyes and programming, enjoy music, food and the start of something fun! Families are encouraged to stay, too. Location: Nittany Apartments parking lot
2:00 - 2:30 p.m. Parents, do you still have some last-minute questions? We want to be sure that we are able to address any final concerns that you may have about what to expect for this upcoming fall.

3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Convocation: First-year students and their families are invited to join the University community in one of the first important steps of their college career. This annual celebration is in honor of you! We want to welcome and officially induct you into the Penn State family. Location: Morgan Auditorium, Student Community Center

10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Comedian Derrick Knopsnyder is a recent college graduate and uses his college experiences to entertain his audiences. Being a young comedian, Derrick uses his boyish charm and quick wit to connect with audiences all over, but it's his awkwardness that keeps them laughing throughout the show. See what Derrick has taken away from his four years and learn what you may be in store for! Location: Morgan Auditorium, Student Community Center
11:00 a.m. - Noon
Are you wondering who to see for medical concerns? Or if you're feeling a bit stressed? Already interested in finding out more about your career path? We have the answers during this session. Meet the nurse, the counselor and learn more about career interests. These are some faces that you will definitely want to remember. Feel free to ask tons of questions! 1:00 - 1:30 p.m.
Every day, we all have opportunities to intervene for the prevention of sexual violence. Let's increase our awareness on when to intervene and how to do it safely and effectively. Bystanders can have a powerful impact on sexual violence prevention. Learn about Stand for State. Location: Morgan Auditorium, Student Community Center
1:30 - 2:00 p.m.
We want you to feel at home and safe here, and campus police will help you do that! Learn all of the services they offer to help make your stay on or off campus as seamless as possible. 2:00 - 3:15 p.m. FIRST YEAR FRENZY! Here's a chance to meet every new student. Are you up for the challenge? Join us in an environment where fun is mandatory! Location: Campus Green
3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Race, diversity, equality and acceptance take center stage as the Metamorphosis Theater Company presents this collaborative and lively workshop. Be ready to share your opinions—this is a very interactive event! Location: Morgan Auditorium, Student Community Center
4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
This is a chance to get to know your RA (resident assistant) and find out the latest information about the Nittany Apartments. If you are not living on campus or are an adult learner, then this is your opportunity to get acquainted with the resources available to help you better connect to campus. 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Island Park Festival Schuylkill Haven has a rich history and heritage. The municipality hosts a number of annual events that we want to share with you! Throughout the semester, there will be tons of events taking place in the Nittany V Commons and they are open to everyone. Noon to 1:00 p.m. You've met your RA, now it's time to learn a bit more about your hall. This is your chance to learn the ins and outs of residential life on campus, meet your hallmates and ask any questions you may still have. Location: Your Nittany Apartment Building
4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Are you interested in playing a fall sport? Here's your chance to receive information, find out schedules and showcase your desire to be part of a team. The coaches will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Location: Campus Green
5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Just in case you forgot any last minute items, the campus shuttle will run a continuous loop to Walmart. Be sure to check off some of the items listed below. This will also be a great time to hang out with your roommates while shopping for these forgotten items.
