It is the duty of the institution to warn of possible "dangerous conditions" on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an "affirmative duty" exists to warn persons associated with this University of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties.

In an effort to reduce your risk of becoming a victim, please keep these tips in mind:
?        When you go out, check in with a friend or family member throughout the night.
?        Don't let yourself become isolated with someone you don't know or trust.
?        Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place and call for help.
?        Do not accept rides or walking accompaniment from people you don't know well and trust.
?        Take money for a taxi with you, or when on campus, contact campus police to request an on-campus escort at 570-385-6144 or 570-628-3792.

Report any suspicious persons or activity to campus police. If you have any information that might be helpful in this investigation, please contact:
