SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. — Angela Brown, assistant teaching professor of accounting, has been named assistant director of academic affairs at Schuylkill campus, effective Aug. 19.
“Angela Brown is a fantastic colleague and has done a great job as the program coordinator for business,” said Cory Scherer, director of academic affairs and interim chancellor. “I am excited for her to take on this new role and grateful for her willingness to step in.”
Brown joined the faculty at Penn State Schuylkill in 2018. As a member of the business faculty, she teaches a variety of accounting and business courses. Additionally, she offered multiple customized Excel sessions tailored for various audiences both inside and outside of Penn State through the campus’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development programs.
Brown serves as the campus business division coordinator, which encompasses the business and corporate communication programs, and as the learning outcome assessment coordinator for the business program. Additionally, she represents the Schuylkill campus on the University College Faculty Council.
“I look forward to working in new ways with faculty, staff, and students in this expanded role," Brown said.
Brown is a certified management accountant, certified public accountant, and earned her MBA from Alvernia University.
