On Tuesday, September 23rd, Penn State President Graham B. Spanier, along with Chancellor R. Keith Hillkirk and SGA President Jarret Robinson served students, faculty, staff, administration and guests of the campus, cake and ice cream on the campus green. The celebration was held as a kickoff of a years' worth of activites that have been planned in honor of the campus' 75th anniversary.
The ice cream that Dr. Spanier helped to dish out was created in honor of the anniversary - Schuylkill Swirl Ice Cream, vanilla ice cream with blueberry swirl and chocolate chips, by the Penn State Creamery. As each campus celebrates an anniversary, a special anniversary ice cream blend is made in the campus' honor.
