Penn State Schuylkill performs The Wiz

Penn State Schuylkill's Nittany Players are preparing to perform "The Wiz," April 14 through 17 in the John E. Morgan Auditorium.

"The Wiz" is a children's show, something that people of all ages could enjoy.  "The Wiz" is a funky musical version of the L. Frank Baum story "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," telling the story of Dorothy, a Kansas farm girl, who is lifted to the land of Oz by a tornado. She meets a few friends, including a scarecrow, tin man and lion, as she follows the yellow brick road in search of the wizard who will help her get home.

According to Cathy Fiorillo, Assistant Professor of Theatre and Speech and Theatre minor advisor at Penn State Schuylkill , Penn State Schuylkill is updating the show and making it its own.

Tickets are now on sale for "The Wiz".  General Admission is $10, Children and Seniors $ 8.00 PSU Schuylkill Students are free.
