Penn State Schuylkill students participating in the Schuylkill Campus
Honors Program will be honored at a reception in the R. Michael Fryer
Conference Center from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
The Penn State Schuylkill Campus Honors Program provides highly motivated students with an opportunity to broaden and enrich their general education and to enhance their preparation for graduate school or a career. To become a member of the program, the student undergoes a rigorous screening and application process. Honors students have the highest placement scores in math and English and SAT verbal and math test of their incoming cohort. Application into the program is reviewed by the faculty honors program coordinator, Anita Vickers.
Penn State Schuylkill Honors students are, as a whole, intellectually curious and self-motivated individuals. The honors program offers them the opportunity to receive more individualized instruction from their professors and to experience a more in-depth application and an independent pursuit of knowledge. Honors classes offer students a stimulating, rigorous and rewarding learning environment.
