Corporate recruiters rank Penn State #1

Penn State was recognized by the Wall Street Journal for its ability to prepare graduates for the job market.

The university was ranked first among 100 colleges ? including several Ivy League schools ? in a September 2010 survey of 479 recruiters from companies across the United States.

The recruiters cited Penn State's wide range of academic majors and its ability to give students the well-rounded education needed to thrive in a variety of industries. Recruiters are also able to make connections within multiple academic areas at Penn State, including business, communications, engineering, and information sciences and technology.

Penn State holds two career fairs annually in the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus. These fairs are among the largest recruiting events in the United States, and draw many alumni back to recruit fellow Penn Staters for their companies.

Additionally, many of Penn State's campuses and academic colleges hold career fairs pertaining to specific majors or geographic areas.

The ranking is highlighted in a 30-second television spot that has aired on national networks. To see the video, visit http://live.psu.edu/youtube/do97wLTatA8.
