Penn State Schuylkill to hold annual Informative Speech Contest

Members of the local community, students, faculty, and staff are invited to Penn State Schuylkill for the annual Informative Speech Contest. The contest will be held November 19, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the John E. Morgan Auditorium.

Two students from each of the five public speaking classes will be selected to participate in the contest. Each participant will present his or her informative speech to the audience and to a panel of three judges from the local community. The judges will evaluate each speech and choose a first, second, and third-place winner. Each place winner will receive a Penn State Schuylkill Bookstore gift card. Valerie Schrader, assistant professor of communication arts & sciences, will give the opening and closing remarks. Light refreshments will be served after the event.

Everyone is encouraged to attend this event to celebrate the accomplishments of Penn State Schuylkill's CAS 100 students.
