Local art event to feature Dr. Charles Cantalupo

Dr. Charles Cantalupo, Distinguished Professor of English, Comparative Literature, and African Studies, and a co-coordinator of the Honors program at Penn State Schuylkill, will be the featured poet at the Poetry on the Block program, which is a part of the 8th Annual Block of Art event in downtown Pottsville, PA.

The Block of Art is an exciting, and growing, annual three-day arts event, with multiple indoor venues, arts exhibits, poetry, performances, and workshops - as well as music and events. Each year, downtown Pottsville transforms its indoor spaces into a premier gallery walk. Works of art will be on display and for sale including paintings, photographs, jewelry, ceramics and sculpture from local and regional artists.

Poetry on the Block, featuring Dr. Cantalupo and open MIC poets, will be held Saturday, April 26th at 4:00 p.m. at All Things Good, a bookstore and gallery located at 209 West Market Street, Pottsville, Pennsylvania.
