Earth Day celebration for campus and local community

Penn State Schuylkill will be celebrating Earth Day with two free events that are open to the campus and local community. These events are sponsored by the *NEW*, student-run, Penn State Schuylkill Sustainability Club.

On Monday, April 21, 2014, there will be a showing of the movie, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax in the John E. Morgan Auditorium. The evening will begin at 5:00 p.m. with environmentally-friendly crafts for kids and adults, and then the movie will start at 6:00 p.m. Come and see The Lorax and learn what YOU can do to help save the environment.

Our annual ECO-FAIR will be held on April 22, 2104 (rain date is April 24, 2014) on the campus mall walk from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Come and see what Penn State Schuylkill, local companies, and community organizations are doing to preserve the environment and learn what you can do to help. There will be free food and prizes!

We will also collecting the following items to benefit the Penn State Schuylkill Sustainability Club: cell phones, laptop computers, inkjet cartridges, MP3 players, digital cameras, digital video cameras, handheld game systems, and electronic book readers.
