Radiologic Science program awarded continued accreditation

Penn State Schuylkill offers an associate degree in Radiological Science (Radiography) that is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), which is recognized by the United States Department of Education. In order to maintain its accreditation, the program is periodically reevaluated according to the Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiography.

The continuing accreditation status of the program was considered at the August 5, 2014 meeting of the JRCERT, and we are very pleased to report that the program has been awarded accreditation for a period of eight years, which is the maximum duration that may be awarded in this category.

David Rill, M.Ed., R.T.(R), program coordinator for Radiologic Science at Penn State Schuylkill, and his staff worked countless hours over the past year to ensure that all areas were in compliance with the required standards.

The associate degree program in Radiologic Sciences continues to be a popular choice among students, both traditional and adult, with full incoming classes every year. This accreditation award is important to our continued success, both for the campus and the students that we serve.
