Penn State Laureate Dr. Susan Russell visits campus

On Wednesday, October 29, 2014, Penn State Schuylkill invites you to join Dr. Susan Russell, associate professor of theatre and Penn State Laureate, for an interactive conversation titled, "Dignity: Changing obstacles into opportunities." Her presentation will be held at noon in the R. Michael Fryer Conference Center of the Classroom Building. Lunch will be provided.

Dr. Russell's presentation is about who we can be in the 21st Century, and how we can get there. Her research and practice focuses on theatre's ability to make social change and is backed by the open, supportive, and inspiring environment of the Penn State School of Theatre.

The Penn State Laureate is a full-time faculty member who is assigned half-time to serve as the University Laureate for one academic year. During this year, the individual selected will be available to appear regularly at University events at University Park, on the Commonwealth campuses, and throughout the state at community and statewide events. The laureate will bring an enhanced level of social, cultural, artistic and human perspective and awareness to a broad array of audiences.
