Women's Wellness Series - May 6

Throughout 2015 there will be hour-long sessions focused on different issues that are important for women's wellness. Each session will highlight a selected topic with professional guest speaker(s) presenting, followed by a question and answer session.

The series kicks off April 1 with, "The Sandwich Generation: How to balance your priorities," in room 101 of the Classroom building. This session is being presented by Judy Lenick, senior academic adviser and instructor at Penn State Schuylkill.

The local community is invited to attend these informative, free sessions that are held on a Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., and include light refreshments. Seating is limited, so please RSVP to [email protected] or 570-385-6102 prior to each session.

Upcoming presentations include:

May 6: "What every woman should know about their finances" in room 201 of the Health and Wellness building. The presenters are Karen Kenderdine, CTFA, vice president and relationship advisor for First National Trust Company in Pottsville, PA, and Renee Laychur, CFA, senior vice president and managing portfolio advisor for First National Bank Investment Advisors, Inc. in Williamsport, PA.

June 3: "During the Golden Years...what really are the needs?" Valuable information for all ages!
Presented by: Kathy Leahy, community wellness coordinator, Diakon Community Services

August 5: "Looking your best through makeup application and hair care."
Presented by: Debi Cody, proprietor, Studio 16 and Alyssa O'Neil, independent sales director for Mary Kay®

November 4: "Dental wellness...love your smile."
Presented by: Melissa Burke, D.M.D. and Brenda Jenkins, D.D.S.

December 2: "Guilt! It's killing me."
Presented by: Melinda Anthony-Spolski, M.S., NCC, LPC, coordinator of counseling and disability services, Penn State Schuylkill
