Jay Paterno, former assistant and quarterback coach for the Penn State University Nittany Lions football team, will be at Penn State Schuylkill for a book signing on Thursday, April 30, 2015, promoting his biography of legendary coach Joe Paterno.
Paterno's book, Paterno Legacy: Enduring lessons from the life and death of my father, released on September 1, 2014, details the life and career of a beloved coaching legend, his greatness as a father and grandfather, his philanthropic activities, and also addresses issues related to the crimes that came to light in 2012. A limited supply of books will be available for purchase at the bookstore during the event.
The book signing will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Community Center lobby. Paterno will then address an open audience in the John E. Morgan Auditorium at 7:00 p.m., where he will deliver remarks and read excerpts from his book. A $5.00 donation is requested, with proceeds benefiting THON and the Robert P. Swank Scholarship at Penn State Schuylkill.
The Schuylkill Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association, the Penn State Schuylkill Alumni Society, and the Penn State Schuylkill Bookstore are hosting the event and all are welcome.
