Judy Lenick graduated from Penn State University with bachelor of science degree in Individual and Family Studies, which has since been re-named Human Development and Family Studies. She completed her master's degree at Temple University in Adult Education. Judy worked in the human services field for many years before coming to Penn State Schuylkill as an academic adviser and Human Development and Family Studies instructor.

Judy served on the LGBTQE commission at University Park for four years as an affiliate member. Currently, she is a member of the Campus Climate and Behavioral Threat Management Team committee on campus, and has served as one of two Sexual Harassment Resource people at Schuylkill for 17 years.

In her free time, Judy enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with family, which includes her dog and cat, and with her friends.
