A screening of the film "Pretty Woman" will be held as part of the "Media, Manipulation, and Demise of Public Discourse" Cinema Course at Penn State Schuylkill.
This non-credit cinema course is $30 for community members, and free for faculty and staff members (code in the campus newsletter).
"Pretty Woman" directed by Garry Marshall and starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, is a romantic comedy following the journey of Vivian Ward, a witty woman working as a sex worker, and Edward Lewis, an affluent businessman. The film leans into themes of introspection, acceptance, and love – encouraging viewers to look past the surface and reflect on the status quo.
