Riyuchi Narita, a 2012 Pottsville Area High School graduate, is the recipient of the 2013 Penn State Schuylkill Education Award. This is award is given to the student with the highest grade point average who is enrolled in a University education major while attending Penn State Schuylkill.
Narita is a sophomore majoring in secondary education. During a recent visit to the campus, Patrice Taglieri, one of the contributors to the award, had the opportunity to meet Narita and congratulate him. Taglieri is a retired educator who taught in the Minersville Area School District for many years and is an alumna of Penn State Schuylkill.
