The John E. Morgan Foundation has generously presented a $1.5 million challenge match to help Penn State Schuylkill facilitate instruction in science, technology, engineering, and math-related (STEM) fields and provide financial assistance to students who wish to pursue a degree in a STEM-related major. The match is a donation that will be fully realized once the campus has successfully raised an equal amount of donations from alumni and friends of the campus, and must be met by the year 2020.
The Student Professionalization committee will be hosting a career panel March 21, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in room 101 of the Classroom Building at Penn State Schuylkill. Eight local business and community leaders will discuss their career paths and professional experiences and then take questions from the student audience.

Marcus A. Whitehurst, vice provost for Educational Equity at Penn State, will serve as the spring 2016 commencement speaker at Penn State Schuylkill. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. May 7 on the campus green.
