Penn State Schuylkill, in partnership with Penn State LionPulse, has made significant strides in improving health and wellness efforts aimed at students, staff and faculty. LionPulse is an initiative to enhance wellness within the Penn State community, funded through a University seed grant that supports the Penn State Strategic Plan.
From integrating learning tools with Canvas that allow users to communicate remotely via Zoom to unlimited storage for photos and videos with Kaltura, the goal for Canvas Day 2019 was to build upon Penn State faculty's experiences with Canvas in facilitating collaboration among peers to enhance teaching and learning with technology.
Penn State Schuylkill’s Theatre 282 students and Nittany Players will present “You Matter,” an original production about suicide prevention, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. The production is made possible through collaboration with Schuylkill Women in Crisis.
Entrepreneurs across the University will pitch their business ideas and create inventive solutions to common problems through a series of competitions and challenges held during Penn State Startup Week from April 1-5. The challenges are at the heart of Startup Week’s mission of teaching and inspiring participants to make innovation a part of their lives, communities and careers, either by starting their own companies or bringing a problem-solving approach to established organizations.
