Penn State students from seven Commonwealth Campuses presented their research to a panel of faculty-judges during the seventh annual Penn State Eastern Regional Undergraduate Research Symposium. Held on April 20 at Penn State Brandywine, the event featured undergraduate student-faculty research projects spanning numerous academic disciplines.
Two Penn State Schuylkill students donated their time during spring break this year volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in Walton County, Florida. Jacqueline Beltran, a kinesiology major at Schuylkill who captured the image, said, "I think this picture depicts what joy and satisfaction can come from an alternative spring break with authentic smiles and the empowerment that this photo embodies of these women really made my heart leap with joy that I got to capture such a shot of some of the amazing souls I encountered during this spring break."
This spring Penn State expects to award 13,894 diplomas to students University-wide who are completing 226 associate, 11,435 baccalaureate, 1,590 master’s, 262 law, 244 doctoral and 137 medical degrees.
