Schuylkill Lady Lions Cinch Championship Titles

Our women’s cross country and volleyball teams worked hard for their winning seasons this fall, and campus celebrated those achievements during a championship banner unveiling on November 12.

On November 12, Penn State Schuylkill recognized two of our women’s athletics teams for their remarkable accomplishments this fall.

In a halftime ceremony during the women’s basketball home game against Rutgers Camden, Chancellor Patrick Jones was joined by Sharon Linard, chair of the Student Services Committee of the Schuylkill Advisory Board; Dr. Mark Abel, faculty athletics representative; and Joseph Godri, Penn State Schuylkill athletic director, for the mid-court banner unveiling.

Volleyball

The Penn State Schuylkill volleyball team earned the title of PSUAC East Division Champions. They compiled a 15-9 record, which included an impressive 11-1 record against PSUAC East Division opponents, and they advanced to the PSUAC Final Four at University Park.

In addition, Alexis Bowser, Alexis Breslin, Noel Kaufman, and Chloe Readinger were named to the USCAA National All-Academic Team. Three players were named to the PSUAC All-Conference teams:
