Penn State Schuylkill’s Inaugural Giving Tuesday campaign

It's the season of giving. Contribute a gift today.

A day of giving will begin at Penn State at 6:55 p.m. EST tonight (18:55 in military time, representing the year of Penn State's founding) and end at midnight Tuesday, Nov. 28.

This is the first year that the Schuylkill campus will celebrate this national day of giving, which is represented on social media by the hashtag #GivingTuesday.

The 2017 Giving Tuesday campaign will support Schuylkill campus’ athletic program. “Our community is very proud of our student athletes who thrive in the classroom and on the courts and fields,” said Darcy Medica, interim chancellor of Penn State Schuylkill. “I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to those who through their generous support help move our athletics program forward.”

A special opportunity exists for Penn Staters who graduated in the last decade. Their gifts of $10 or more will unlock an additional $100 contribution from Penn State. Graduates of the last decade, please join in and accept the #GivingTuesday challenge and make your gift go further.

“We are pleased that our athletics program was selected as the Schuylkill campus’ first-ever Giving Tuesday campaign,” said Joe Godri, director of athletics at Penn State Schuylkill.  “Your gifts will directly impact our students who compete for national championships on our 11 men’s and women’s varsity sports teams,” he said. “For this, we are extremely grateful.”

It’s a wonderful day to make your impact on an important component of the student experience. We thank you in advance for your participation and support.

In this giving season, help us make this first-year campaign a big success.
