QUICK DECISION DAY
The Quick Decision Days program provides students with an immediate, verbal decision on whether they have been accepted for the upcoming semester, presenting them with a new option they may not have previously considered.
During your visit, you will fill out a FREE application to Penn State Schuylkill, meet with an admissions counselor who will review your high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores, take an optional campus tour, and then receive a verbal admission decision that same day*.
In order to participate, students must:
- attend a campus service area high school (Blue Mountain, Line Mountain, Mahanoy Area, Mount Carmel, Minersville, Nativity BVM, North Schuylkill, Pine Grove, Pottsville, Schuylkill Haven, Schuylkill Technology Centers, Shenandoah Valley, Tri-Valley, or Williams Valley)
- bring an official high school transcript to the visit (in a sealed envelope)
- have SAT or ACT scores listed on the official high school transcript
* Not all candidates will qualify for a verbal admission decision. Transfer students, students who have not taken SAT or ACT, or students from high schools outside of the service area may make an appointment for Quick Decision Day, but admissions staff will not be able to give a verbal admission decision that same day. Official admission decisions for all participants will be available on the student’s online MyPennState account, and through the U.S. Mail within a few weeks following the visit.
