About LionLaunch

Established in May 2016, LionLaunch is a community-based entrepreneurship program that provides funding and mentorship to start and grow businesses, as well as a community competition where winners receive startup funding, training and mentorship from industry, faculty and economic development professionals. Open to the whole community, the LionLaunch program also operates an Innovation Hub in Schuylkill Haven, an office space area with amenities like meeting and collaboration space, videoconferencing software, free printing and more.

LionLaunch at Penn State Schuylkill is one of several campus community entrepreneurial initiatives to receive seed grant funding from Invent Penn State, Penn State's Commonwealth-wide initiative to spur economic development, job creation and student career success.

Boot Camp

The LionLaunch Boot Camp is a rigorous ten-week program available to both students and local community members seeking insight on how to start or grow a small business.

Business Plan Competition

Do you have an idea for a small business? Pitch your plan and make your dreams a reality! This program gives you the opportunity to request and earn up to $5,000 in funding and free office space.

Innovation Hub

The LionLaunch Innovation Hub is an office space located in Schuylkill Haven. The facility is stocked with all sorts of amenities helpful to budding entrepreneurs. This space is open to the local and campus community.

Invent Penn State is a Commonwealth-wide initiative to spur economic development, job creation and student career success.
