The PPL Foundation has awarded Penn State Schuylkill’s LionLaunch program, part of President Eric J. Barron’s Commonwealth-wide Invent Penn State entrepreneurship initiative, grant funding in the amount of $2,500.
Penn State Schuylkill recently hosted its second LionLaunch Business Plan Competition, an event that allows Schuylkill County entrepreneurs to request and earn up to $5,000 in startup or expansion funding.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, right, visited Penn State Schuylkill's LionLaunch Innovation Hub on Friday, Jan. 12. The hub serves as a co-working space for innovators on campus and in the local community. The governor's visit was designed to highlight entrepreneurship opportunities in Pennsylvania. While on campus, Wolf met with students, entrepreneurs and business mentors who have benefited from the co-working space.
