Roy serves as a leader in the IBM HR Leadership, Learning & Inclusion organization, focused on driving IBM’s transformation to an Agile way-of-working. This includes defining and delivering Agile consulting, coaching, training & content in support of this transformation. This program began as an idea, and within four years has delivered 700K+ courses to nearly 250,000 IBMers. Roy continues to lead in this space, primarily in the area of continued scaling Agile across the business, and working with leaders and teams as they progress in this journey. Most recently delivering this program as a commercial offering on some of IBM’s largest accounts.
Prior to his current role, Roy lead a team of Enterprise Process Simplification consultants missioned to lead and support key internal transformation projects worldwide. This portfolio numbered more than 400 engagements across the IBM company. He also led a Business Transformation Consulting Practice in Global Business Services providing business process modeling and transformation expertise to clients, both within IBM and commercially – executing more than 500 engagements.
Roy holds an Operations Management degree and an MBA from the University of Southern New Hampshire and a DBA from California Coast University. He is an IBM Certified Consultant, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), certified in Advanced Project Management by Stanford University (SCPM), and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO©). He is an adjunct faculty member at the Pennsylvania State University, teaching in the business department.
Roy and his wife Kathy are both native Pennsylvanians with two daughters – Dr. Alexa E Yoder, DPT, and Amanda Yoder Zelinsky (Penn State University, 2008) – and two beautiful grandchildren – Ella and Grant – all residing in the Orwigsburg, PA area.
