
Biography
Kathleen teaches supply chain management, business ethics, contemporary skills for business professionals and project management. She is also a frequently requested speaker and has presented at events such at Lean in Government, Defense Logistics Agency, and Professional Development Seminars.
Kathleen is a 22-year member/veteran of the US Air Force and Pennsylvania Air National Guard. She is a Project Management Professional (PMP); Certified Change Management Practitioner (CCMP); Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (CLSSMBB); and served as the Director of Continuous Process Improvement, Innovation, and Leadership for the 20,000 members of the PA National Guard. She served as the Officer in Charge of Current Operations in the Pennsylvania National Guard Joint (Emergency) Operations Center where she led, directed, and supervised the Operations Center staff in planned and unplanned Defense Support of Civil Authorities to include homeland defense, homeland security, and civil support. She has been activated for the PA Guard COVID-19 response, several National Special Security Events, winter storms, and floods. Kathleen served as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, facilitating college students' leadership development to become officers and leaders of character in the 21st century Air Force and Space Force for the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps (AFROTC) at Wilkes University. Prior to that, Kathleen served as the Officer in Charge of Wing Plans where she developed, coordinated, and directed peacetime and wartime planning and execution for mobilization, deployment, sustainment, employment, and redeployment of troops and billions of dollars in equipment from worldwide locations.
Kathleen has held many other military roles to include Commander of a Special Operations Security Forces Squadron, Wing Inspector General Director of Complaints Resolution, and innovation consultant. Her aircrew experience includes roles as an Electronic Warfare Officer, Navigator, and Mission Crew Commander aboard Air Force Special Operations aircraft. Her enlisted service includes assignments as a recruiter and an A-10 jet engine mechanic. Her civilian work experience includes leadership positions as program manager on national DoD contracts, Executive Director and registered lobbyist for a non-profit passing first in the nation legislation, and process improvement consultant for government, education, and non-profit. Her more than 20 years of industry and military experience has brought her to over 40 countries.
Kathleen holds a Master of Science degree in Leadership and Business Ethics from Duquesne University. She also holds a Master of Science in Military Operational Art and Science from the Air University’s Air Command and Staff College focused on contemporary global operations, national security, leadership, and joint warfare with research conducted in cognitive bias, decision science, organizational, and process improvement culture. Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Pre-law and Management from Gwynedd Mercy College and two Associate in Applied Science degrees in Human Resource Management and Aviation Maintenance Technology. She has numerous certificates of advanced education from Villanova University, the National Defense University, and the Joint Special Operations University to name a few. Kathleen is also a Certified Higher Education Professional (CHEP) in teaching and online learning with a focus on career preparation and adult work force learning. Her awards and recognition include, Distinguished Alumni Award from Gwynedd Mercy University, Air Force Outstanding Aviator of the Year award nominee, Pennsylvania National Guard Outstanding Aeronautical Achievement Award, Grand Marshall of the Welcome America 4th of July Parade in Philadelphia, and Central Penn Journal Woman of Influence award.

Research Interests
Fabrizi's research interests include:
- Factors that contribute to Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) success, such as
- neuro-economic barriers to instilling the CPI culture within an organization, and
- facilitating and leading ethically through change.
- Leadership in warfare
- National security, including understanding internal barriers that subconsciously prevent women and minorities from developing leadership potential
- The effects of a positive attitude
