Elyce Kaplan serves as adjunct faculty for Human Development and Family Studies, Psychology, Educational Technology and Educational Psychology courses, and teaches courses in the Microsoft Office Suite for the Office of Community Engagement.
She is a member of MSACROA (Middle States Association of Collegiate Registrars and Officers of Admissions) since May of 2001 and served in many leadership positions. She has presented at many conferences and is currently serving as Treasurer for the organization. Elyce is also on the conference planning committee.
Before coming to Penn State in May 2001, she was a manager/district manager for the Goodwill Industries of Northeastern PA, where she helped create a training manual for all employees and managers. Before her employment at Goodwill she was employed by Kmart in New Jersey and Pennsylvania where she worked her way up the corporate ladder from cashier to Hardlines Manager.
Originally from New Milford, New Jersey, Elyce earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Penn State in 1985 and her Master of Education in Teaching and Curriculum, also from Penn State, in 2005. While in New Jersey, she was an EMT for 15 years and stays current in her certifications for CPR and First Aid.
Her hobbies include traveling, reading, and crafting and lives with her bull terrier/pitbull mix dog named Dozer.
