General Housing Information

Each bedroom is furnished with two beds, two dressers, two desks, and a large walk-in closet. The beds are TWIN XL size and may be converted into bunk beds. Students must bring their own bedding and pillows.

Each apartment is equipped with a land-line telephone as part of the Housing Contract. The phone number will be listed in your assignment email in late July. The cost of local calls, room-to-room calls, and 911 service is included in the housing cost. Students may bring a pre-paid calling card or use a personal cell phone for long distance toll calls. 

All buildings are wired with free Wi-Fi internet access through the Penn State Office of Telecommunications. Please visit their site to set up your wireless access. All apartments have basic cable in the living room and each bedroom. TVs are not supplied.

The apartments are equipped with blinds on each window. Students may bring throw rugs for the kitchen and bathroom areas. If you are interested in bringing area rugs for the apartment, the bedroom is 10 x 18 and the living room is 13 x 19. Lamps for bedside and living room end tables are also recommended.

A full size refrigerator and stove are in each kitchen. Cookware, utensils, plates, cups etc. are NOT furnished. Paper products are recommended. Students may bring a kitchen microwave (only one per apartment), toaster, and can opener. 

Every apartment has sufficient outlets for stereos, computers, and other equipment.

Each apartment has a large storage closet to be shared by all roommates.

A laundry facility is located in each building. Students will use their LionCash to pay for washer and dryer use by swiping their Penn State ID card. The machines do not accept cash. Students can add money to their ID card online at
