Essentials for your college search
Feeling overwhelmed as you try to find the perfect college fit? Confused by the college application process? Penn State Schuylkill's Roadmap to College program can help!
This innovative new program is completely free of charge and designed to help high school students and their families navigate the college search and application process—no matter which college you choose to attend. We'll also help you better understand the complex and evolving landscape of higher education. The five-week program will be held virtually and is free for high school students (grades 9 through 12) and their parents or guardians.
Why participate in Roadmap to College?
Roadmap to College will help participants manage the college selection and application process by providing them with the knowledge to make well-informed and well-timed decisions. Topics will include:
- Finding the right program and institution for you
- Understanding the financial aid process
- Learning the various roles and offices in higher education
- Knowing where to turn for help along the way
What to expect from each session
Each session will feature a presentation by Penn State Schuylkill faculty and staff members, including representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and the Career Development Center, with time at the conclusion for questions.
The fall 2021 program will take place virtually on Tuesdays beginning at 6:00 p.m. EST and run for approximately one hour.
Roadmap to College is an excellent opportunity for high school students to discover how to make the most of the higher education experience. All students and parents will benefit from the breadth of material covered in this workshop. Although participants are encouraged to register for all five sessions, attendance in all sessions is not required.
