Project and Supply Chain Management

As a student in Penn State Schuylkill’s Project and Supply Chain Management program, you will learn business fundamentals along with theories, concepts and practical knowledge critical to success in project and supply chain management roles.

Classroom learning combined with hands-on research and experiential learning will equip you for early career success in designing and operating complex management systems with the integration of powerful technology. Graduates from this program apply their knowledge and skills in supply chain management practices, which often result in significantly reduced operating costs for their employers while also generating benefits in sustainability.

Earn Essential Technology Certification as Part of the Program

Students in this program earn an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Certificate with SAP, which is an enterprise system with high complexity applications used in many project and supply chain management roles. SAP helps professionals in the field manage the entire supply chain process, from the purchase of raw materials to the distribution of a finished product with multiple touch points in between.

Career Opportunities

Project and Supply Chain Management majors can expect good job prospects post-graduation in areas such as project management, warehousing, logistics, purchasing, systems analysis and more. In fact, the National Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates that supply chain management professions are projected to increase by 2% nationally and by 5% in Pennsylvania. The bureau also reported that the median pay for logisticians in 2015 was $74,260, and $86,630 for logistics managers.

Potential job titles include:

  • Demand Management Analyst
  • Project Manager
  • Transportation Specialist
  • Logistics Systems Coordinator
  • Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) Analyst
  • Procurement Category Agent
  • Warehouse Supervisor
