RADSC Program Health Requirements

Health Services: University Health Services assists in promoting and maintaining the health of students.

The Health Services of the University are made available to students in accordance with a statement provided by each campus, pertinent to that campus. Information on services provided by Penn State Schuylkill Health Services may be obtained on their website.

Prior to their initial registration, all new full-time students entering the University must submit a health history on a special form provided by the University. This form is to be completed online at http://studentaffairs.psu.edu/health/myUHS/. The completed form constitutes a vital part of the student's medical record. In addition, the student must fax their complete immunization record to Health Services at University Park.

In addition to the "Health History" form submitted to the University, Radiologic Science students, prior to entering the Program must have a complete physical, including required immunizations, Hepatitis B vaccine, current Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Test (PPD) and other medical tests as required by clinical facilities. This information along with other required clinical facility medical documentation must be provided by their physicians on the Radiologic Science Medical Examination form and uploaded to the student's clinical document profile on the student's CertifiedBackground.com account for submission to the student's assigned clinical site for RADSC295 Clinical Internship..

Radiologic Science students enrolled in the program must have a PPD test performed annually and are responsible for maintaining updated test results on their CertifiedBackground.com account profile.  Clinical facilities will not permit students to continue their participation in clinical rotations at their facility if medical tests are not kept updated on their CertifiedBackground.com profile.

Student health insurance coverage is recommended and is the responsibility of the student.
