For alumna Tara Laubenstine, speaking to a room full of students at Penn State Schuylkill feels like coming home. Laubenstine, a 2020 graduate who received her bachelor’s degree in business and a minor in psychology, returned to campus to speak about her career path and how Penn State Schuylkill prepared her for her next steps.

Innovation showcased at Schuylkill Student Research and Scholarship Conference

Penn State Schuylkill students presented original research at the campus’s biannual Student Research and Scholarship Conference on Nov. 30. Sixteen students from a variety of disciplines presented topics that ranged from a virtual reality experience to improve understanding of electric fields, to synthesis of chemical compounds to discover novel treatments for disease, and examination of important cultural and societal issues.

Schuylkill students, faculty present at statewide communication conference

Penn State Schuylkill was well represented at the 2022 Pennsylvania Communication Association conference held Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. Two students and two faculty members shared original research at the conference that was held at East Stroudsburg University.  Penn State Schuylkill has been developing a presence at PCA over the last few years, and the campus is slated to host the PCA conference in 2024.

Photo submission for new Penn State id+ cards now active

Penn State students, faculty and staff with older versions of the id+ card are being asked to submit new photos ahead of re-carding events that will be held University-wide during the spring 2023 semester. There are multiple ways to submit a photo, and photos will be accepted from Nov. 7 through Nov. 23.
