Alumnus makes history on the court, returns to Schuylkill to inspire students

Penn State alumnus Marcel Smith, class of 2014, who attended Penn State Schuylkill from 2010-12, made history as one of the first male dancers on an NBA dance team, and the first male dance team captain for the NBA's Washington Wizards. Smith recently returned to his starting campus to speak about his career trajectory, and how Penn State Schuylkill helped shape his approach to chasing his dreams.

Taura L. Barr, associate professor of clinical nursing at Ohio State University’s College of Nursing, will be the speaker at the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing's 2023  joint Jean Vallance Lecture in Nursing Innovation/WE LEAD Inspirational Leader Speaker Series on Friday, March 31, at the Wyndham Garden State College. The lecture will be offered in-person as well as via webinar.

Schuylkill recognizes more than 250 students on fall 2022 dean's list

Penn State Schuylkill has named more than 250 students as fall 2022 dean’s list designees. To earn a dean’s list designation, students must end the semester with a 3.5 grade-point average or higher. The campus will celebrate the students’ accomplishments at a ceremony during the spring semester.
