Schuylkill launches database featuring interdisciplinary faculty research

The Penn State Schuylkill Faculty Research Database features a comprehensive platform of research conducted by faculty on campus, in a variety of disciplines including. biology, arts and humanities, and physical and social sciences. The database was developed to unite and engage the campus and broader community in the research efforts of faculty and will serve as a hub for interdisciplinary research information.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre hosts threat and response training

Local education professionals, police and public safety units had the opportunity to take part in an eight-hour threat and response training held at Penn State Wilkes-Barre in December. Faculty, staff and police from Penn State's Hazleton, Schuylkill and Wilkes-Barre campuses were among those in attendance.

Schuylkill Undergraduate Research Symposium features over 20 presentations

Penn State Schuylkill students presented original research at the campus' fall 2023 Undergraduate Research Symposium on Nov. 29. Twenty students from a variety of disciplines presented on topics that ranged from synthesis of chemical compounds to the use of artificial intelligence in a 3D environment, as well as on cultural and societal issues.

Penn State Schuylkill student places first in college-wide nursing art contest

Aylah Campos, a second-year student pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing at the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at Penn State Schuylkill, won first place in the college-wide art contest. The competition tasked nursing students with considering the "Three Cs" of nursing — caring, compassion and communication — as inspiration to address the political, social and practical challenges of providing nursing care with art.
