Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses and the state’s community colleges have announced a new collaboration aimed at expanding educational opportunities in Pennsylvania and removing barriers to degree completion among college students. The collaboration builds upon long-standing relationships between the campuses and the community colleges and a shared commitment to access and affordability in higher education.

Students, faculty and staff across all Penn State campuses will now have free access to virtual technology programming provided by the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP), thanks to a newly expanded partnership with TCCP spearheaded by Penn State Harrisburg, a longtime member of the council.
The Penn State Schuylkill Faculty Research Database features a comprehensive platform of research conducted by faculty on campus, in a variety of disciplines including. biology, arts and humanities, and physical and social sciences. The database was developed to unite and engage the campus and broader community in the research efforts of faculty and will serve as a hub for interdisciplinary research information.
Local education professionals, police and public safety units had the opportunity to take part in an eight-hour threat and response training held at Penn State Wilkes-Barre in December. Faculty, staff and police from Penn State's Hazleton, Schuylkill and Wilkes-Barre campuses were among those in attendance.

Seven Penn State campuses have created the Commonwealth Arboreta Network, a network that will inventory trees and plant life while sharing research and teaching resources, with the eventual goal of creating an arboretum at each of the University's 24 campuses.
Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) has introduced the inaugural Teaching and Learning Technologies Faculty Advisory Committee for the 2023-24 academic year. The committee will play a pivotal role in guiding TLT and University IT in integrating technology into teaching and learning practices at Penn State.
